Design is the intermediary between information and understanding.
— Richard Grefé

As Design Director at Via, I lead design for the company’s Platform and Partnerships to instill vision, structure and support, and to foster and grow a culture of innovative design. Partnering globally, with 500+ transit partners, Via delivers TransitTech public mobility solutions on a mass scale with revolutionary technology for cities, operators, transit agencies, corporations and universities to change the way people get around for a more sustainable, equitable, and accessible future of transit.

Prior to Via, I was the Art Director for Signals Analytics (now called Skai, a Kenshoo company), an Israeli tech startup headquartered in New York City, that built an enterprise SaaS data platform that provides strategic intelligence driving product innovation and growth for Fortune 500 brands. I led the company's visual brand and identity design, initiated creative problem solving for internal processes, aided with product UI and UX design, directed teams of freelance designers and developers, and led the company’s creative direction for its global offices.

I believe design must be in its integrity a craft that is continuously being enhanced, questioned and iterated upon. The denominator of my work is the goal to drive empathy to connect, communicate ideas and create quality user experiences. I draw inspiration from environment and experiences, and deeply enjoy learning and broadening my understanding to inform more holistic and inclusive perspectives.

My approach dovetails strategic business needs in agile environments with acquired knowledge from past experience in startup, high tech, marketing, advertising, and design industries.

I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Design.

I am an avid yoga practitioner and certified yoga instructor (Yoga Alliance Certified, 200RYT) with completed instructor training in Tel Aviv. I enjoy painting, traveling, cooking, exhibit-hunting, and being outdoors.
